I Heart CA--Milton Marks Exhibition

 Peninsula Women’s Caucus for Art - Exhibition

I Love California

The Peninsula Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art will present a 

member exhibition titled I Love California.  

August 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 at the Milton Marks Conference Center Galleries, San Francisco. Gallery hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Mondays through Fridays.

I Love California includes artwork by emerging and professional women artists Beate Amler, Della Calfee, Claire Erlin, Annamaria Kusber, Rebecca Lambing, Ellen Lee, Kim McCool Nelson, Alysanne McGaffey, Yvonne Newhouse, Nora Raggio, Jeanette Sacco-Belli, Bonnie J. Smith, Francine Survilo, Leigh Toldi, Cristina Velazquez and Marian Yap. The works on display cover a broad range of two-dimensional mediums that include oils, acrylic, fiber art, watercolor, mixed media and photography. The exhibit provides the viewer a look into the artist’s interpretation of living within California with its idealized golden land of mountains, oceans and cities.

Founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association (CAA), WCA is a national member organization unique in its multi-disciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students /educators, and museum professionals. The mission of the Women's Caucus for Art is to expand opportunities and recognition for women in the arts.

About Milton Marks Conference Center Galleries

The Milton Marks Conference Center Galleries are located on the lower level of the Hiram Johnson State Office Building, 455 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco.  

Little Red Journal Auction

 Little Red Journal is to be auctioned off as a WCA fundraiser at a later date. 

1.Topic: be creative; remember 2012 is WCA’s 40th anniversary. 

2.Create 1-2 pieces, collaborations welcome! 

3.Art Work Size: 4h x 3w .25d inches, no complaining on size constraints. 

4.Media, original art, painting, photo drawing printmaking, sculpture flat or very skinny, let the mind wonder. 

5.Please put your name, initials whatever you are comfortable with on front or back, your name and chapter will also be written on the page your work is fastened. Please put your work in an envelope with your name on it when you give it to me or whoever is collecting art that month. We want to give you credit and keep it clean. 

6. Remember art works will be glued, taped or sewn to pages. 

7.Cut off date to receive art is September 18, 2012 at chapter meeting.
