Identity is our self-portrait. What surroundings, what colors, what icons, what
culture defines who we are? Peninsula Women’s Caucus for Art artists are taking this opportunity to explore
aspects of their Identities by using
a diversity of styles. Pat Keefe chose to create her personal Kachina
representing art, imagination and creativity in her collage. Marian Yap introduces her self-portrait painting
with a Haiku. Lorraine
Capparell’s images hum with expectancy, meaning and symbolism. Her watercolors
represent what the English novelist E.M. Forester once called the “significant
moment”. Works by
Kris Idarius, Rebecca Lambing, Tanya Lin, Alysanne McGaffey, Yvonne Newhouse, and
Bonnie J.Smith are also included.
